Principal Dr. Dawn Childress and the Orr education team have completed the hard work necessary to earn High-Reliability Schools Level 2 Accreditation from Marzano Resources. Level 2 certification means Orr Elementary School has established and proven “effective teaching in every classroom”, which focuses on the responsibility of both school leaders and teachers in ensuring high-quality instruction. Orr is the first school in the district to receive level 2 of this accreditation. HRS was created by Marzano Resources to help transform schools into organizations that take proactive steps to ensure student success.
HRS is the model that the District is using to emphasize “Process” and data-driven processes. HRS Level 1 certification for each building is an important goal set this year. Spradling and Orr have earned Level 1 certification and the others are working toward accomplishing that goal. Approximately 300 FSPS educators representing all district schools participated in an HRS Institute held at SHS a few weeks ago. We are so proud of Dr. Childress and the Orr team!
