STEM Maker Lab Experience to be Offered to 4th Grade FSPS Students Thanks to Donors
Since 2015, Fort Smith Public Schools and the National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF) have partnered to bring hands-on STEM and Invention Education to K-6 grade students in Fort Smith in the form of summer program Camp Invention. Because of COVID-19, the NIHF was unable to host Camp Invention during Summer 2020. Thanks to the support of the below-listed donors, NIHF is able to offer its STEM Maker Lab experience to approximately 1,100 4th Grade students across the district. The lab experience includes curriculum and all materials needed for 30 creative, hands-on activities. Through the activities, students will problem-solve realistic challenges and bring their unique ideas to life.
