Davis Named as FSPS Director of Human Resources
Kelly Davis has been selected as the FSPS Director of Human Resources. Davis, who has served in both Human Resources and Payroll & Benefits roles in the district since 2006, currently serves on the Arkansas Teacher Retirement Board, and is a certified Arkansas School Business Official who worked in private sector accounting roles earlier in her career. Davis joined the Arkansas Education team when she was hired as the Paris, Arkansas, School District Treasurer where she served until joining the FSPS team.
She said, “I am honored to serve as the Director of Human Resources. I look forward to continuing my career with Fort Smith Public Schools serving our staff and community.”
Dr. Chris Davis, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Campus Support, said “Ms. Davis will bring a tremendous amount of experience and expertise from both the private and public sectors to our Human Resources department.
Davis holds a Master and Bachelor of Business Administration. She is the ATRS Audit Committee Chair and the Operations Committee Vice Chair. She is a 2016 graduate of Leadership Fort Smith. Davis has two grown children, Cole and Hunter.
Kilgore, Clark and Kareus Named as New FSPS Assistant Principals
Nikki Kilgore, Dustin Clark and Kacee Kareus join the FSPS administrative team as assistant principals at Northside High School, Chaffin Middle School, and Trusty and Morrison Elementary Schools, respectively.
Nikki Kilgore begins her new assignment at Northside High School with experience in FSPS and Lakeside School District. As a member of the FSPS team since 2011, Kilgore has served as an Interventionist, a Math Instructional Facilitator and most recently as a Title 1 Secondary Specialist. She has two Master of Education degrees from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and Bachelor of Science in Education from Henderson State University.
Dustin Clark begins his new assignment at Chaffin having served as a 7th Grade Science and Geography teacher at Chaffin from 2012 to 2019. He was appointed as a school counselor at Chaffin in 2019. Clark earned a Master and Education Specialist degrees from the University of Central Arkansas, a Master from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
Kacee Kareus begins her new assignment at Trusty and Morrison Elementary Schools having served as a K-6 Title 1 Elementary Specialist at Howard Elementary School since 2018. Kareus has previously served as a Math Instructional Facilitator within the district. Kareus holds a Master of Education degree from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
