Southside Students Receive Aspirations in Computing Award

Four Southside High School students have received the 2021 Aspirations in Computing Award from the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT). Congratulations to Caroline K. Arkansas Winner and National Certificate of Distinction; Ethne H., National Certificate of Distinction; Makayla C., Arkansas Winner; and Sierra B., National Certificate of Distinction.

The Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) recognizes 9th-12th grade students for their computing-related achievements and interests. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and interest in IT and computing, solid leadership ability, good academic history, and plans for post-secondary education. Since 2007, more than 17,000 students have received the AiC.
