Peak Innovation Center Co-Hosts Summit, Promotes Pitch Competition
In partnership with 64.6 Downtown and the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith (UAFS), Peak Innovation Center will co-host the 3rd Annual Invest Fort Smith Economic Development Summit in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week. This year’s summit is designed with technology in mind to reach a broader audience with the theme of ‘Awakening the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem’.
As part of the summit, Peak Innovation Center is promoting the River Valley Student Entrepreneur Pitch Competition on Thursday, November 19 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM CST. This pitch competition will feature River Valley student entrepreneurs who are ready to launch a product and/or service. The winners of the high school competition will earn varying UAFS scholarships to help develop and build their ideas.
The competition is open to all River Valley student entrepreneurs in Grades 8-12 who have developed a product/service and are seeking advice, exposure, and investors.
How to Enter the Contest
Record and submit a video of your pitch. Be creative and capture your audience, as you will be evaluated on creativity, feasibility and profitability! Your video pitch has to be 60 seconds or less. Videos longer than 60 seconds will not be accepted.
The deadline for submission is Monday, November 16. Don’t forget to include your name, business idea name and school. You can submit your video pitch by emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The submissions selected as the top three pitches will have the opportunity to provide a “socially distanced” in-person pitch at UAFS Reynolds Room on Thursday, November 19. A panel of judges will select their favorite idea based on its creativity, feasibility and profitability. The first-place winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship to UAFS.
You can watch the November 19 pitch competition finals by registering for this free session on Eventbrite. You will receive a Zoom link(s) and password(s) to the free event.
