FSPS COVID Safety Protocols - Jan. 6, 2022 Update

FSPS Families and Employees,

We are continuing to monitor the COVID infection rates in our district and state-wide. As a result, we will be reinstating some of the 2020-21 safety precautions. Effective immediately, visitors to district schools will be permitted by appointment only. District and building leadership will be reviewing scheduled field trips and encouraging that field trips and other large group activities and events be postponed at this time.

While there are currently no plans to pivot to remote learning, K-2 students who do not typically take a computer home began taking their devices home this afternoon and all teachers have begun preparing in case a pivot is needed. District administration is continuing to monitor available campus staff and other factors that could cause a campus or the District to need to pivot due to Covid absences from illness/quarantine.

CDC on the Omicron Variant: What You Need to Know

The CDC continues to recommend wearing a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high community transmission, regardless of vaccination status.

The District will continue to observe all other safety protocols including extensive disinfection of all classrooms, district building and touch points throughout the days and weeks ahead, especially during the cold and flu seasons.
