    The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith offers a rich, vibrant learning environment for nearly 6,000 students each semester. UAFS aims to build its reputation as a regional destination for high-quality, affordable education where diverse groups of aspirational students and faculty thrive and excel.

    Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) is a private, not-for-profit institution on 500+ acres in Fort Smith, Arkansas, dedicated to healthcare and wellness.

    Adult Education

    The Fort Smith Adult Education Center offers a wide range of classes that are available to any adult over the age of 18 who is a resident of the area. Flexible class schedules provide day and evening sessions to meet the unique needs of adult learners. 

    Other Learning Resources

    The Fort Smith Public Library offers a wide variety of materials, programs, services, and events at its four library locations plus online through the 24/7 digital resources.

    The Janet Huckabee Nature Center is built on 170 acres of land that was part of Fort Chaffee. In addition to the interactive displays and exhibits, the center houses a classroom for educational programs.
