Cavanaugh Elementary School

Greetings from the Principal:

     Cavanaugh Elementary School is proud of our deep history of student achievement and success. We strive every day to better ourselves, so we may in turn provide a richer learning environment for our students. The staff at Cavanaugh are committed to supporting our students and parents, so we can continue to be a keystone of the community as we have been since 1895. We are proud to call ourselves the Cougars and honored to be a part of your child's educational journey.  

My name is Clint Gillman and I am the principal of Cavanaugh Elementary.  I am truly honored with this privilege. I have a wonderful wife and three amazing kids, two boys and a girl. My wife also serves in Fort Smith Public Schools as a Kindergarten teacher. I look forward to the great traditions we have at Cavanaugh, as well as starting new ones. I have been with Fort Smith Public Schools for six years. Within the last three years, I have served as assistant principal at Sutton Elementary. Prior to this, I was the drone instructor at Northside High School. I started my educational career in Oklahoma as a high school football and baseball coach while also teaching Biology.
