Lisa Miller, Principal
Dr. Lisa Miller, Principal - In the 2018-19 school year Dr. Miller became the third Principal
of Southside High School. Dr. Miller came to Southside after serving as Principal of the Van Buren Freshman
Academy for the past 6 years. She is the first Secondary Principal in Arkansas to earn the designation
of Master Principal.
Steve Arnold, Assistant Principal
Steve Arnold, Assistant Principal - Mr. Arnold has been an Assistant Principal at Southside
for over a decade. Before that, he was an Assistant Principal at Kimmons Junior High, and
has taught Science at both Chaffin and Belle Point. He is an officer in the Arkansas Air National
Guard and a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (B.A. in Biology), and Arkansas Tech University
(M.Ed. in Educational Leadership). He would like everyone to know that he chose to enter the
field of education over 20 years ago because he loved (and still loves) working with teens.
Liana Bolton, Assistant Principal
Liana Bolton, Assistant Principal - Mrs. Bolton transferred to Southside High School
as an assistant principal in the fall of 2013. Prior to transferring to FSPS, Mrs. Bolton was
an administrator (seven years) and teacher (six years) for Clark County School District
(Las Vegas, NV). Mrs. Bolton earned her Associate of Arts degree through Westark Community
College, her Bachelor of Arts/Secondary English Education through Arkansas Tech University,
and her Master of Arts in Education / Administration and Supervision through the University of Phoenix.

Jeff Prewitt, Assistant Principal
Jeff Prewitt, Assistant Principal - Mr. Prewitt is committed to success for all students and understands
that succcess will look different for each and every one. Mr. Prewitt joined the Southside administrative
team in 2018 after moving over from Ramsey Junior High. He has been in education in Fort Smith since 2002,
and has held positions ranging from classroom teacher to coach and now on to the role of assistant principal.
Mr. Prewitt holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from Henderson State University and a
Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University. He believes that all students have the
ability to learn and strives to ensure that all students have the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential while
