Mr. Jeff Prewitt

Jeff Prewitt was named principal of Southside High School in July, 2021. Prior to that Mr. Prewitt had served as an assistant principal of Southside since 2018. Before his role as Southside assistant principal, Mr. Prewitt served as assistant principal of Ramsey Junior High School, physical education and health teacher, and coach within Fort Smith Public Schools. Mr. Prewitt holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University, an M.S. in Physical Education and B.S. in Physical Education from Henderson State.

Mr. Matt Coleman

  • Matt Coleman serves as assistant principal at Southside High School. Prior to being hired at Southside, Mr. Coleman served for twenty one years at the Ozark Public School District.  He served as the building principal at Ozark Middle School for seven years.  He previously taught social studies, coached baseball and football, and was Dean of Students at Ozark High School.  Matt earned his BSE and Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.  He earned his building principal’s license from Arkansas State University.  Matt enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.

Mrs. Rachael Foster

  • Rachael Foster serves as the Class of 2025 Assistant Principal of Southside High School. Prior to her appointment at Southside, Mrs.Foster has served as an English teacher at Kimmons Middle School and a fourth, fifth and sixth grade teacher at Sunnymede Elementary School within Fort Smith Public Schools. Foster holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and ESL Certification from Arkansas Tech University,  a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith with Middle Level Endorsement for all core subject areas, and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Mrs. Foster has also earned Master Professional Educator distinction from the Arkansas Department of Education. She has served Fort Smith Public Schools in various leadership roles including Vision 2023 Staffing, Blended Learning, Summer Reading On-Site Administrator, PLC Guiding Coalition, Fellowship of Chistian Athletes, Literacy, Math, and ESL Curriculum Committees, and Aspiring Leaders Institute. Mrs. Foster is married to Jonathan. They have two daughters, Addison and Emma, that keep them very active with school and travel sports activities.

Mr. Jeff Mosby

  • Jeff Mosby serves as an Assistant Principal of Southside High School. Mosby has served as a Technology Integration Specialist since 2009. Prior to his appointment at Southside, Mosby served as ninth grade physical science teacher at Ramsey Middle School within Fort Smith Public Schools. Mosby holds a M.Ed. in Teaching, Leadership and Learning and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Arkansas Tech University.

Mrs. Susanna Post

Susanna Post serves as the Class of 2027 Assistant Principal at Southside High School.  Before joining the Maverick family, Ms. Post worked as the district’s secondary math coordinator.  Previously, she taught math and business at Belle Point Alternative Center, where she was named the 2021 Arkansas Teacher of the Year.  Ms. Post holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Central Arkansas, and a Master of Education in Rural and Urban School Leadership from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration and Leadership from Walden University.  Ms. Post is married to Frankie. They have three children, Hayden, Hallie, and Harper, and a cockapoo named Huckleberry.

Mr. Justin Fontenot

  • Justin Fontenot currently serves as the Dean of Students at Southside High School. For the
    past 14 years, Fontenot taught social studies and English at both Northside and Southside.
    Before relocating to Fort Smith, he instructed bioethics and the philosophy of science while also
    serving as the Master of Arts in Teaching Coordinator at McNeese State University in Lake
    Charles, LA. He is currently pursuing a Building-Level Administration Post - Master's Certificate
    at the University of Arkansas and holds a BA in History from the University of New Orleans, an
    MA in Philosophy from the University of Montana, and an MAT from McNeese State University.
    Justin is happily married to his lovely wife Rachel, and they are blessed with 13-year-old twins
    Seth and Myles.
