    Principal, Jason Meharg

    Principal Jason Meharg believes all teachers have the ability to teach, but those who inspire are the ones who make a real difference in the life of a child.

    LTC (Retired) Jason Meharg comes to Darby from Northside High School where he served as Assistant Principal. Prior to that, he spent two years at Chaffin Middle School in the same position.  Before becoming an administrator, Meharg served as the Senior Army Instructor for the Northside's JROTC program. He retired from the United States Army in 2014 after serving our country for 22 years.

    Meharg graduated from Cabot High School and attended the University of Arkansas where he received his bachelor’s degree.  He has a master's degree in management from Webster University and a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Arkansas.

    Mr. Meharg currently resides in Clarksville with his wife Betsy, and 5 children: Abby, Jack, Lydia, Lily, and Josh.

     

    Assistant Principal - Maleb Kelley

    Ms. Maleb Kelley is starting her seventeenth year at Darby Middle School as an assistant principal. Prior to coming to Darby, Ms. Kelley served as an ESL teacher and department head at Kimmons Junior High School for seven years. Ms. Kelley earned her master’s degree in educational administration and leadership from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR.

     

    Assistant Principal - Emilee Moss

    Ms. Emilee Moss is beginning her second year as assistant principal at Darby Middle School. Ms. Moss was formerly a social studies teacher and coach at Darby Middle School, serving in that role since 2016.

    Prior to her tenure at Darby, Ms. Moss was a teacher at Wichita High School West in Wichita, Kansas. She served eight years in the Army National Guard and received a BSEd in Kinesiology from University of Arkansas -Fayetteville, a MAT from University of Arkansas - Monticello, a Master's in Special Education from Southwestern College, Winfield KS and her Ed. Specialist's degree in Building Leadership from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR.
