Dear Orr Families,

I am so proud to be the principal at Orr Elementary.  This is my 6th year here. We have made some great strides in developing our instructional program over the past five years by working as a Professional Learning Community. This work has led us to becoming an Inclusive Practices PLC Project Demonstration School for the State of Arkansas and in achieving High Reliability School Level 1 (Safe, Secure, Collaborative School), Level 2 (Effective Teaching in Every Classroom), and Level 3 (Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum) Certification. We will be working toward High Reliability Schools Level 4 (Standards Based Reporting) Certification this school year. We will continue with our work to ensure that each and every student receives the personalized education that will help them be successful this year and in years to come! Our mission at Orr Elementary is to ignite learning in a fun, safe, respectful, and accepting environment in which all students thrive. We intentionally work to make that mission a reality at Orr Elementary every day.  We appreciate our families and community and know that working together is the only way to make Orr a premier school. We believe that we are well on our way to making that vision come true. This year, our theme is "60 Years of Excellence." We developed this theme through a collaborative effort through engagement with our community on Facebook and through other communication platforms such as Class Dojo. We are excited to celebrate Orr Elementary's 60th Birthday! We are dedicated to pursuing excellence every day! We were recognized as a Capturing Kids Hearts National Showcase School last year. With Capturing Kids Hearts, we will continue to intentionally build strong and supportive relationships with each of our students!
