    Dear Orr Families,

I am so proud to be the principal at Orr Elementary.  This is my 5th year here. We have made some great strides in developing our instructional program over the past four years by working as a Professional Learning Community. This work has led us to becoming an Inclusive Practices PLC Project Model School for the State of Arkansas and in achieving High Reliability School Level 1 (Safe, Secure, Collaborative School) and Level 2 (Effective Teaching in Every Classroom) Certification. We will be working toward High Reliability Schools Level 3 (Guaranteed Viable Curriculum) Certification this school year. We will continue with our work to ensure that each and every student receives the personalized education that will help them be successful this year and in years to come! Our mission at Orr Elementary is to ignite learning in a fun, safe, respectful, and accepting environment in which all students thrive. We intentionally work to make that mission a reality at Orr Elementary every day.  We appreciate our families and community and know that working together is the only way to make Orr a premier school. We believe that we are well on our way to making that vision come true. This year, our theme is "S.E.A.S.- Successfully Educating All Students." We developed this theme through a collaborative effort through engagement with our community on Facebook and through other communication platforms such as Class Dojo. We are excited to roll this theme out this year because we are dedicated to successfully educating all of our students at Orr! We are dedicated to pursuing excellence every day! We were a district pilot for a program called Capturing Kids Hearts last year. This program helps us intentionally build strong and supportive relationships with each of our students! The success of the pilot last year has led to our district adopting Capturing Kids Hearts district-wide this year. We will work towards even greater levels of implementation this year. We will be sending surveys to get your input as we strive to grow as a school community. We are excited to continue to reconnect with our families and our Partners In Education as we move into the 2022-23 School Year!
