Dr. Michael Farrell

Dr. Michael Farrell serves as the Executive Director of Student Services. He joined the district in 1994 and has served in various capacities with FSPS.

Farrell's journey in education began at the University of Dallas, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. He continued his academic pursuits at the University of Houston, where he obtained a Master's in Education with a focus on Counseling. Committed to advancing his expertise, Michael pursued a Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas, solidifying his commitment to leadership in the field of education.

Throughout his tenure at Fort Smith Public Schools, Michael has exemplified unwavering dedication to his role, contributing significantly to developing and implementing student support services. His favorite aspect of the job lies in being an integral part of a community that collaboratively works towards improving the lives of students.

Ms. Terresa Dewey

Terresa Dewey serves as the Assistant Director of Student Services. Dewey joined the district in 1996 as a 4th-grade teacher at Sunnymede, where her passion for education and student development first took root. Over the years, she climbed the ranks, holding key positions that showcased her leadership skills. From assistant principal roles at Cook and Fairview Elementary to principal positions at Bonneville and Tilles Elementary, Terresa has consistently demonstrated a visionary approach to school administration.

She holds a degree in Educational Specialist from Arkansas Tech University, a Masters Degree from the University of Arkansas, and a Bachelors from Pittsburg State University. Her dedication to continuous learning and professional development is evident in her commitment to FSPS students.

Dewey has been honored with the title of Who's Who Among American Educators, a testament to her exemplary work and impact on the education community.
