• Ramsey Choir

Enrollment in the Ramsey Choir program has now reached 450. Nearly 50% of all students at Ramsey participate in choir. The choirs are under the direction of Nathan Lee and Keely Sattazahn. Choir is open to all students in 6th grade, and by audition to 7th and 8th graders. Ramsey Choirs have consistently received Superior ratings at choral performance assessments.

Choir students have several performance opportunities throughout the year. These opportunities include singing the National Anthem at a home football or basketball game, Christmas Concerts, Region Choral Performance Assessments, Spring Concerts, and recruiting assemblies for incoming 6th graders.

Ramsey students perform well both as a group and individually. Each year many Ramsey choir students are selected to participate in the All-Region  Choir. Over 700 students typically audition for a few positions, so it is quite an accomplishment to earn a place in this group.

Each October, all Fort Smith Public School secondary school choirs participate in the Fort Smith City Choral Festival. Students rehearse with a guest clinician and then perform in an evening concert.

All Choir concerts are free and open to the public. Friends, family. and members of the community are also invited to the choir's Region Choral Performance Assessment in March.

Ramsey Choir students are also involved in every other activity on our campus. Many choir students are involved in athletics, drill team, cheer, NJHS, band, orchestra, Gate, and many other groups and activities.
